Welcome, I am a robotics engineer for Anybots Inc. a startup company in Silocon Valley, California working on human capable teleoperated robots. Robotics is an extremely interdiciplanary field, even more so at a startup company. Any given day I may be working on AI navigation software, firmware, electronics design, mechanical design or even business and marketing.

Previously, I have worked on robotics in both academic and industrial settings including autonomous underwater vehicles at the Monterey Bay Aquarium and automation control at the Department of Energy Joint Genome Institute.

I received my Master's degree in Computer and Systems Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute where I did research on adaptive topology control of distrubted mobile sensor networks. As sensor nodes move, their limited radio power means that connectivity may be degraded or broken. My research focused on how to move a subset of nodes to maintain connectivity while the majority move according to their mission.

I received my Bachelor's degree in Physics from Lawrence University in 2006 with a senior project in AI problem solving using AIBO robots and sensory graph planning.

In 2005 I spent a semester studying at Kanda University in Makurari Japan.
